If you are reading this page you have probably already made the decision to take control of your health as you age.
You may have started to experience some age related health issues and you may have tried lots of different treatments and therapies, but have not yet discovered an approach that works for you.
You may have read that declining health as we age is inevitable, that you have to accept that you may have to give up on many of the things that you enjoy in your life at the moment.
I want you to know that with the right support and guidance, it is absolutely possible to not only maintain your health, but to even improve your health as you age. I work with women from all backgrounds who have one thing in common – they are determined to continue to enjoy good health into the future.
ABOUT
Having worked as a Reflexologist for over 30 years, I have seen thousands of clients who have struggled to overcome their long standing health problems. This is because often conventional medicine focuses just on the symptoms, instead of looking at the root cause of the illness. They may also have spent time visiting different practitioners, without any clear recovery plan, and with limited success.
In order to be able to help clients with complex health conditions, I have trained as a Wellbeing Coach with the The Chrysalis Effect (www.thechrysaliseffect.co.uk) whose holistic approach is now becoming recognised by the medical profession as an effective long-term treatment for Burnout, Chronic and Post Viral Fatigue, ME and Fibromyalgia.
This approach recognises a mind, body, environment, lifestyle, dietary factors, relationships and the pre-disposition and susceptibility of a person are all part of the picture.
Nothing happens in isolation, everything is interrelated. An effective treatment programme therefore needs to address all these different elements.
I combine my knowledge and experience from my degree in Psychology, 30 years’ experience as a therapist, with my training as a Wellbeing coach and Recovery Specialist with the Chrysalis Effect.
As founder and director of one of the largest natural health clinics in the north of England I have a unique understanding of a wide range of therapies, and how these are best suited to supporting you on your health journey.
Together with my team of professional and caring therapists we will support you, so that you no longer feel isolated and instead you will feel believed, nurtured and valued.
My Story
I graduated with a BA(Hons) in Psychology from Manchester University, working in the corporate world for several years, before discovering the magic of Reflexology.
After a car accident my husband was left with severe back pain. Over the next 5 years he had physiotherapy, saw 5 orthopaedic consultants, and had pain killing injections – none of which touched his pain. I read about reflexology from a book, and trying these new techniques on my husband resulted in his pain disappearing overnight! We were totally amazed by this discovery which led me to change the course of my life and career.
I trained as a Clinical Reflexologist and gave up my corporate career to dedicate myself to helping others to benefit from this amazing therapy.
In 2005 I opened Cheshire Natural Health, fulfilling my dream to create a centre of excellence where clients could benefit from a range of professional natural treatments all under one roof.
Since then, we have grown from just 5 therapists, to become the largest Natural Health clinic in the north-west, and have treated almost 20,000 clients over this time. We now have 25 therapists under one roof, offering a range of 30 specialist treatments.
Over the last 30 years, I have learned that many long-standing health conditions respond best to a holistic approach, which looks at all aspects of a person’s health and well-being, and long-term good health depends upon all of these aspects being in balance.
In order to be able to fully help clients, I have completed intensive training with the Chrysalis Effect, which provides support for people with Chronic exhaustive conditions including Chronic Fatigue, ME and Fibromyalgia, using specialist coaching and mentoring tools to help clients return to good health.
I am a very practical, down to earth person, and bring my sense of positivity and empathy to every session. I am married with 2 grown up children and 2 cats. I love Yoga, and spending time walking in the beautiful Cheshire countryside.
I work with women in midlife who want to improve their health and vitality as they age, using a combination of Reflexology, EFT and Wellbeing coaching.
I am also and accredited well-being Coach and Specialist Recovery Practitioner for clients with ME and Chronic Fatigue using the highly effective Chrysalis Effect programme.
I run a dedicated Membership community called ‘Passion for Health’ where we hold regular group coaching and expert workshops on a wide range of topics related to healthy ageing. I open the doors to new members twice a year. Get in touch to find out more and to add your name to the waiting list.
